About Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a totally natural treatment, which uses the concentrated herbal energies in essential oils from plants, flowers and woods dating back as far as time. Aromatherapy is primarily associated with massage but may also be used in various other forms, for example: inhalation, compresses, burners and baths. The pleasure of the aromatherapy experience in itself is relaxing and works to improving and maintaining a feeling of well being in the body, mind and spirit.

Benefits of Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy can help to combat a wide range of physical and emotional problems and is exceptionally beneficial for the use of stress-related conditions. Physically it is often used the aid and improve muscular, circulatory, respiratory, digestive and skin problems.

In Aromatherapy, as in other forms of complementary therapies, the healing of the oils is aimed specifically at the individual and not the symptoms, as there will be many varying factors and therefore a choice of different essential oils to be used.

Aromatherapy is a powerful tool and should be studied and used with caution and respect. Always consult a qualified Aromatherapist if in doubt.

Use of Essential Oils

Essential oils appear to work on all levels. In massage they penetrate the skin and reach the bloodstream before healing the relevant muscles and organs. By simply using a few drops of essential oils many physical and emotional symptoms can be alleviated, energy levels restored and sleep patterns balanced.

Essential oils can, with caution, be used on an everyday basis in the home as a first-aid tool, with self, family and friends.
